Great Hearts is excited to announce our 2019 Afternoon Summer Camp. Our unique camp is designed to cultivate the Great Hearts’ mission for our amazing scholars. Each week will feature a distinctive theme for K-9th grades with exciting activities based on a wide range of interests – science, math, art, literature, athletic skills, etc. Our goal is to make sure each camper enjoys his/her time at camp while stimulating their minds and deepening a sense of wonder. Each week, campers will experience classical themed activities, weekly guest presenters, camp songs, games, and lasting friendships.

Afternoon Summer Camp runs June 10th-28th from 12:00pm until 6:00pm

$150 per scholar, plus $5 registration fee (includes Summer Camp T-shirt).

Space is limited! Openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Week 1 – Celebration of Nations

Come join us in our celebration of nations!  Learn about games, traditions, inventions, and foods from around the world.   Campers will experience performances from a different culture as well as share their own genealogy with their peers.

Week 2 – Living Literature

Stories take our imaginations to new worlds.  Each day our campers will enter a storybook world; The Jungle Book; Charlotte’s Web; King Arthur; The Secret Garden; The Wizard of Oz.  Activities for each day will revolve around the storybook theme.

Week 3 – Time Trekkers

Time Trekker week will transport campers through time to experience Prehistoric Ages, the Renaissance, the Victorian Era, and the early to mid-century 1900’s.  Campers will be able to explore dinosaur excavations, Renaissance tapestries, life during the Civil War, and architecture from the early to mid-20th century.
