Afternoon Summer Camp 2021

Great Hearts is excited to announce our 2021 Afternoon Summer Camp. Our unique camp is designed to cultivate the Great Hearts’ mission for our amazing scholars. Each week will feature a distinctive theme for K-9th grades with exciting activities based on a wide range of interests – science, math, art, literature, athletic skills, etc. Our goal is to make sure each camper enjoys his/her time at camp while stimulating their minds and deepening a sense of wonder. Each week, campers will experience classical themed activities, weekly guest presenters, camp songs, games, and lasting friendships.

Dates/Times: June 7th -July 2nd from 12:00pm until 6:00pm

Price: $55/week (includes Summer Camp T-shirt)

Register before May 1st and save $5 per week!

Space is limited! Openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Week 1 (June 7-11) – Seafaring for the Daring: Seafaring for the Daring is a week on and under the seas full of friendly head-to-head games, crafts, science, songs, and skits. On the last day, crews will board the ships they built with their own hands and have an epic battle on the high seas and a performance for parents and guests.

Week 2 (June 14-18) – Adventure Week: Campers should come ready to compete in a week full of problem-solving activities, tracking animals, STEM activities, survival skills and more.   The week will conclude with an Olympics Game Day and award ceremony.

Week 3 (June 21-25) – Discover with Da Vinci: Campers will explore Leonardo da Vinci’s art, flying inventions, engineering projects, and his hometown of Florence, Italy. They will also learn how nature is the muse of many scientific inventions.   Campers will showcase their work from the week for parents and guests on Friday.

Week 4 (June 28-July 2) – Fictional Forests: Come experience literature’s most enchanted and adventurous forests from the Sherwood Forest to Middle Earth.  Campers will participate in service and conservation projects, lumberjack competitions in honor of Paul Bunyan, fairy and nature crafts, and survival games.
