Our summer camp supports the Great Hearts mission in an engaging environment focused on inspiring creativity and deepening a sense of wonder through action-packed themes. Each week incorporates topics including science, math, art, literature, athletic skills, and more. Campers will laugh as they compete in crazy camp games, sing silly campfire songs, enjoy engaging activities, and make new friends. It’s a traditional summer camp experience with a classical twist!

Camp Hours:
Monday: 8:00 am-6:00 pm
Tuesday-Friday*: 12:00 pm-6:00 pm
*Summer Camp begins immediately after the Summer School program on Tuesday-Friday.
Price: $90/week
Register by May 19th and save $5 per week!
No refunds after May 26th. $15 change fee per camp. Registration closes at 6:00pm on the Wednesday before camp begins (dates listed below). No late registrations will be accepted. A Summer Camp 2023 shirt is included with your registration.

Summer Camp
Each week of camp will feature a unique theme for K-5th grades with exciting activities based on the wide range of interests– science, math, art, literature, athletic skills, etc. Whether you register for one week, or all four, it is bound to be an experience to remember!
Week 1 (June 5-9) – Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead!: Brace yourself for a week full of hands-on learning and problem-solving activities as we go Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead into Summer! Activities will focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and music. Campers will learn songs, science, S.T.E.A.M. style games, and more!
Week 2 (June 12-16) – Wild West: Driven by daring, dangers, and dreams of adventure, many have been drawn to life in the west. Inspired by this spirit of adventure, campers will enjoy activities based on the Wild West’s terrain, traditions, and transportation. Western-themed songs, games, and crazy competitions will set the tone for this wild week of camp!
Week 3 (June 19-23) – Masters of Tales: This week, campers will become Masters of Tales as they dive into fairy tales, fables, folktales, tall tales, and myths. They will explore the variety of ways stories have been expressed and shared through the ages including music, games, and other modes of expression. Campers will learn string games, an early form of Pictionary, shadow puppets, and more!
Week 4 (June 26-30) – ArtVenture: Get ready for a week full of paper, paint, clay, colors, great artists, and ancient crafts. From Mesopotamian metal art, to mosaics, to the many methods of creating with paint, and everything in between, campers will embark on a journey of creative expression, connecting the heart, head, and hands.

Q. What is the dress code for Summer Camp?
For Summer 2023:
DRESS CODE: Our Summer Camp dress policy is the same as the academy dress code policy.
On Mondays and Friday's only, scholars may wear:
SHIRTS: Students may wear any GHA Summer shirt, GHA spirit shirt, GHA athletic shirt or any SOLID colored shirt.
SHORTS: Students may wear plain, logo-free, uniform-style shorts in khaki, black or navy. They may also wear navy or black athletic shorts. All shorts must reach mid-thigh and cannot be form fitting (no bike shorts or gymnastic apparel). Uniform pants are allowed.
FOOTWEAR: Students may wear plain, solid color tennis shoes. Shoes that make noise, shoes that light up, and open-toed shoes are NOT permitted.
Students in violation of the dress code will not be permitted to participate in the program and parents will be called to pick up or drop clothes off.
Q. What if my summer plans change? Can I get a refund?

Q. Does Summer Camp provide lunch and/or snack?
No. Lunch is not served during Summer Camp. Please pack a snack(s) for Summer Camp.
For Summer 2023: In addition to snacks, please pack a lunch for your scholar on Mondays.
