Maryvale Preparatory Academy is a charter school authorized by the State Board for Charter Schools. It's a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation governed by a Governing Board of Directors and is a part of the Great Hearts network of academies.

Curriculum Overview
A classical education teaches young people judgment according to certain standards. To be "Classical" means to uphold a standard of excellence. The classical works of Greece and Rome are not great simply because they are old. They are great because they employ harmonious language to depict remarkable human events and to explain the transcendent ideas of human existence.

Important Policies
Attendance: A student absent more than 10% of the required number of school days per year, is considered to have "excessive absences" whether the absence is excused or unexcused.
Tardies: A parent/guardian must accompany students arriving late to sign them in as we require a reason for the tardy.
Early Pick-Up: Must have a placard or current photo ID.
Late Pick-Up: Once the carline gate closes, students must be pick up through the front office, a late pick-up fee will be assessed.
